ISP Tracker Overview Map gives organizations a single view of monitored locations so they can quickly see which connections are operating normally and which ones may need attention.
The map can be filtered to focus on specific connection states, helping reduce a large number of monitored locations to the ones that deserve investigation first.
Users can switch between the live monitoring view and the alerts view depending on whether they want to see current connection status or review active monitoring alerts.
The examples below show how the Overview Map can be used to monitor multiple locations at a glance. Click any image to view it larger.
Monitor certain areas of the city for ISP performance and/or analysis.
Zoom in on problem areas to see location specific information and statuses.
Perfect for smaller cities, rural areas where ISPs may have problems with reliability.
Visually identify areas experiencing Internet problems. Know before the calls start.
For wider-scale monitoring
The same Overview Map becomes even more useful when monitoring locations across larger regions or multiple providers.
Instead of checking individual agents one at a time, teams can use the map to see where problems are appearing, whether several monitored locations are affected at the same time, and whether the pattern appears limited to one area or extends across a wider footprint.
This gives organizations a faster way to understand the scope of an active problem and decide where attention is needed first.
Status view
The Overview Map gives organizations a quick way to monitor many locations without opening each agent individually.
Locations are shown by their current communication status so someone watching the map can quickly see which connections are operating normally and which may need attention. This can be useful on a workstation, dedicated monitor, or large display when many locations are being monitored at once.
When a location stops communicating, the map provides an immediate visual indication that it deserves investigation. The individual agent retains the detailed monitoring history and supporting information needed to understand what happened.
Connection status
Active
The agent is communicating normally with ISP Tracker.
Inactive
The agent has stopped communicating recently. This means the location should be watched or investigated, but it does not by itself identify the cause. The issue could involve the local network, Internet connection, monitored device, or another communication problem.
Disconnected
The agent has remained out of communication for a longer period. Its individual dashboard provides the last known communication and monitoring information available for that location.
When communication returns, ISP Tracker can use the monitoring information reported by the agent to help determine what occurred rather than relying only on the fact that the location temporarily disappeared from the map.
Alerts view
The Overview Map can focus on locations with active alerts, reducing a large group of monitored connections to the locations that currently require attention. Administrators can then open the affected location when more detail is needed.
From the overview to the affected location
Which locations need attention, where are they, and how widespread does the problem appear to be?
Affected locations can then be opened for detailed monitoring data, history, alerts, and analysis available in ISP Tracker.
